YAJNAS'
CATEGORIES AND DONATIONS
FOR PLANETARY AND INTENTIONAL YAJNAS
WHY A DONATION IS
REQUIRED ?
The
basic principle involved in the yajña is
the exchange of energy between humanity and the
laws of nature (deities). The yajña is
composed of rites in which the pundits, who are
performing the yajña in someone's name,
will do some offerings to the laws of nature.
In this way, the laws of nature that are nourished
and pleased, will return favors to the donor.
Because the exchange is the basic principal behind
the yajña, if for any reason a donation
would not be fulfill either partially or entirely,
the donor should expect very limited results from
the yajña performance.
PLANETARY YAJNAS
- Sun,
Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Ketu
and Venus.
There
are three categories of yajña : In general,
categories A and B are for adults and categories
B and C are for children.
Category
A - Where 108 vedic
rituals are performed over 7 days. Donation:
US$865.00
Category
B - Where 28 vedic rituals
are performed over 3 days. Donation: US$565.00
Category
C - Where 18 vedic rituals

INTENTIONAL YAJNAS : There
is about 50 other yajnas for different purposes.
The
donations required for the INTENTIONAL yajnas
are varying a lot from one to another. The reason
for that is based on the offerings that are required
for the yajnas. Some of those offerings are precious
gems, or are made of gold. For these reasons the
donations asked can be much higher than for a
planetary yajna.
There
are three categories of intentional yajñas
